Rod Machado's 40-hour Private Pilot eLearning Ground School is used in flight centers and high schools across the United States and Europe.
EVIT High School in Arizona used 40 courses in the first year, 161 courses in the second year, 220 courses in the third year, and 240 courses this year. EVIT stated that Rod's Ground School is a big part of the success of their school. Also, their state exam scores are now higher.
Rod Machado knows how to hold the attention of students. He has taught thousands of pilots as a classroom instructor, delivering aviation seminars throughout the US, Canada, and Europe, and has taught aviation courses at Cerritos College, National University, Cypress College, and Orange Coast College. Rod was the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association’s National Flight Instructor Spokesman for 15 years (AOPA is the largest aviation association). He has authored over 400 aviation articles in Flight Training and AOPA Pilot magazines. He co-wrote and co-anchored ABC’s Wide World of Flying for five years and was asked by Microsoft to design the lessons and be the flight instructor's voice for Microsoft Flight Simulator, reaching millions of students and pilots. Rod’s teaching style simplifies the complex, makes bland topics interesting and educates with humor.
